St. Stephen Youth Ministry

M I S S I O N:

The Way Youth Group seeks to catechize and evangelize following the teachings of the Catholic Church. We desire to foster the love of God and cultivate disciples of Jesus Christ through faith, fellowship, and fun. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we aspire to serve our parish, our community, and the world by walking beside young people through their faith journeys.

All 6th grade - 12th grade students are welcome to join our events, socials, and gatherings! Check out our calendar below!

  • What grade levels do you serve?

We serve all 6th - 12 grade students. All religious backgrounds are welcome to join!

  • Can parents attend youth group meetings?

Yes! Parents are more than welcome to join and serve. For the safety of all, all parents must be in compliance with all safe environment training.

  • If I'm not a parent, can I still be a volunteer or chaperone?

Absolutely! There is a volunteer role for you! All adult chaperones must be over 21+ years old and be in compliance with all safe environment training.

  • Why is youth group important?

Our primary focus is helping our students become disciples of Jesus and ultimately, saints. This is a safe space to learn about their faith and grow in community with their peers. Here we can share the love of God and walk with them through their faith journey.

  • What does the youth group do?

A typical Wednesday meeting can consist of prayer, games, a small teaching, small group discussion, and social time with snacks and beverages. It changes weekly!

  • Where can I find information about youth group?

Our website is the best place to find information about youth group events. We do have a Facebook and Instagram page as well as a weekly newsletter. Sign up for our Flocknote group below!

  • Are there youth group events outside the church?

Yes! The Diocese of Fort Worth hosts retreats for students, and we host socials around the area. Here are some places we've been: a Jewish Temple, Urban Air, Steubenville Lone Star, Splash Kingdom, Weatherford College concerts, and more!
