Welcome to St. Stephen Catholic Church!

A Message from our Pastor

Welcome to St. Stephen Catholic Church!

Whether you’ve moved to Texas in search of a better climate or moved to Parker County in search of peace or property, I’m excited that you’ve come to St. Stephen in your search for Jesus.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, celebrated reverently and beautifully, is at the heart of our parish. Worship of God and the Eucharist is “the source and summit of our Christian life.” From this worship of God, we at St. Stephen go into the world to love our neighbor. This love of neighbor begins at home, in serving each other in our parish family. I encourage you to search through our ministries and organizations to find ways to deepen your connection to our faith community through service. Those who utilize their God-given gifts in service to His church make our parish what it is: a place where you want to go and where you want to stay. Our volunteers are not only your neighbors, teachers, and community leaders, they’ll soon be your friends.

St. Stephen is a parish of over 2,000 families led by Pallottine missionaries since 1854. We’re blessed with very robust religious education programs for children and youth and formation classes for adults. We have more than 15 ministries, organizations, and clubs. With the arrival of new parishioners like you, we benefit from new perspectives, fresh ideas, and vast experience. We are eager to see how your participation will positively impact us all.

The Gospel recounts when a few people in the crowd asked Jesus who He was and what He was about. The Savior’s response was an invitation: “Come and see.” I extend the same invitation to you: come and see if St. Stephen is what you’re looking for. Hopefully, you’ll find a place where you can worship and celebrate your love for God and God’s love for you, both to serve and be served.

As pastor of St. Stephen, it’s my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to your new church home and to the next step in your faith journey.

In Christ,

Father Emmet O’Hara, SCA
